It appears to be a cast part (I can see the large grains in the broken teeth), so I don't have much hope of welding and cutting new teeth. How do I fix this? Anyone know where to find one? Only the crank side gear is broken, the other is a little chewed up but with a little filing, it would work fine.ĭigging through a bunch of online listings I can find a part number for it (B37 on the parts diagram, PN 62088) but I can't find one anywhere. The original owner (my FIL) was sent a "upgrade" kit (shims) that was supposed to keep this from happening which he never installed and the teeth were already messed up when I got it, I just finally got annoyed enough with them binding/skipping (a rare project that I was changing the angle a lot) to take it apart and try to fix it. These bevel gears work the trunion that adjusts the blade angle. I have an old Craftsman 113.29950 12"/240VAC table saw that I like, contractor base style but heavy cast iron top and it swings a 12" blade like it was nothing (and uses a 5/8" arbor so more common smaller blades work well on it also).
